Hi

I'm sorry to be leaving this message here but if I could send an email I would.mind you if I could send an email I wouldn't be here.

I have been looking forward to the release of Ubuntu 9.10 and Studio 9.10. I bought a copy of each from Marek Pawinski. I have spent the last two days trying to either remove firefox and install an alternative browser, but and here is the root of my frustration, it wont allow me to remove it and all the other browsers I have used behave the same.

BEHAVIOUR:
I can browse any site aslong as I cant log in. So if I try to log into gmail, facebook, wordpress and FNB, I cannot access those websites. I can access google, BBC or any site not requiring a log in.

I have tried asking the vendor that sold it to me. But he has been no help. And I cant understand how I can access google, cant access gmail, access landing page of wordpress and cant log in.

Please if you can offer any help I will eternally grateful.
FYI: I re-installed my old kubuntu 9.04 and the email web browser allowed me access to gmail so it is obvious that the installation disks I have, both Ubuntu and Studio have a setting that needs to be adjusted. I just dont know how.

You can either reply via email or over here. Please I am really desperate.

Thanks,

Hamish

I think you've picked the correct scope: Ubuntu+LTSP. This is something easy to sell because impacts on less operational cost to clients almost imediatly.

We're all wishing you luck.
