I am seriously thinking of taking the 117-199 exam myself. I already passed LPI-101 and -102. I want to ask you if there is any specific 199 training material for self-study and preparation available? I have read the detailed curriculum (topics) on Ubuntuforum. Thanks for taking time to answer me

Hey George. Unfortunately you have to sign an NDA before you do the test, where you promise not to reveal any details about the contents of the test. I suggest you contact the LPI directly for more details.

I am truly happy for you. It is with great pleasure that I see younger generations come along to do greater things than I knew possible. I love the fact that at my age I am actually learning from those I only hoped to teach. It is to you and others like you that I tip my humble hat. Ok. I’m really impressed. After looking it over, you really need to know your stuff on this. Cool.

For less than $500, you can certify, and the exams can be taken in any order (lpi 101, lpi 102 & lpi 199 (ubuntu)).

I think I have a new goal to set for myself. And with there being a testing center within a few miles of my house, this is just too tempting.

Hey Aaron! Ubuntu does certification through the LPI (Linux Professionals Institute). You can get more information from then at http://www.lpi.org

There’s also a page about it on the Ubuntu website, please refer to http://www.ubuntu.com/news/ubuntucert for all the 1st hand information.
